IFR Prerequisites & Enrollment

  • To be eligible for enrolment, you must: Hold a PPL(H) or CPL(H)
  • Have a minimum of 40 hours cross-country Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time
  • Hold a current Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate

To get started, you’ll generally need:

  • Your License: A current PPL(H) or CPL(H).
  • Medical: A valid Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate.
  • Experience: The standard CASA pathway usually includes 40 hours of cross-country PIC time.
